The reason I love the blogging world is because of the little morsels of happiness that I find. I recently read this post from Mocking Bird and was immediately connected to Amanda’s words. This year has been incredibly challenging for us and to be quite honest, I cannot wait for a fresh start in 2011.
Amanda’s post was in response to an amazing online project, Reverb10. Here are her thoughts.
…“December 4- Wonder
How did you cultivate a sense of wonder in your life this year?
It may seem hokey but I try to cultivate a sense of wonder in my life and the people’s lives around me every day. It’s what this blog is about. On the surface it may seem sweet and full of saccharinity to the Nth degree but when you seriously look at the world, our lives are tough. Most of us spend our time battling with problems and hearing about the far greater problems of those in need around the world. Life in its everyday normalcy is a freakin hard mess yet despite all that, finding a sense of wonder in the everyday is sometimes the only thing that may keep us going.”
Everyday, Reverb 10 will post a topic, question or comment and they ask bloggers to respond with their thoughts. This is exactly what I’ve been waiting for. What a therapeutic process to heal all of sadness created from 2010. I will be starting today!

Do you ever feel over inspired? Too many blogs, too many photos, too much inspiration…right?
I’ve been planning our wedding for over a year now and by month 6 or 7, I was burnt out. My favorite blogs, didn’t seem as cool any more. Everyone was showing the same “new and up and coming trend.” Each photo was a concept of some other photo.
I then began to think. What is it really for?…one day- 24 hours?
Did Ms. Wedding Queen just become an anti-bride? No, I just over indulged and now I need rehab.
Sometimes you just need to put it all away, shut down the computer and not think about it. When it doesn’t become fun anymore, give it a rest. The passion will surely come back.
Don’t worry…the blogging will still continue with beautiful images that make us smile.
Has anyone felt the same way before?
